Jerez is the battle that follows in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica!

With all the titles still at stake in the competition that has P21 Motorsport as an official partner, the two races next weekend have everything to be exciting, with several drivers, of various nationalities, on the front line to discuss absolute supremacy.

Jose Monroy, Series Manager at PSCI is convinced that “we are going to experience a very exciting weekend. The championship is approaching its end and the discussion of the titles is in full swing. We will do everything we can to provide the public, drivers, teams and guests with another unforgettable weekend!”

Manuel Alves remains favorite and could become champion in 991.2

The LOB Motorsport driver naturally arrives in Jerez as the main favourite to take overall victory in the weekend’s two races. Although he was defeated for the first time in the previous round in Valencia, the seven victories out of a possible eight speak well of the Portuguese driver’s ability to win, even more so knowing that a double triumph at the Angel Nieto Circuit will mean definitively sealing the title in Group 991.2.

Vasco Barros, his teammate, is the one who will do everything to postpone the title race, with the young Portuguese driver still aiming to achieve his first overall victory of the season, objectives shared by a good group of drivers, including Gonçalo Fernandes. , now integrated into Veloso Motorsport and which has been growing in form, which has been reflected in its successive appearances on the podium in races. Fernandes has everything he needs to shine in Jerez and, who knows, go a little further than he has achieved, putting his Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup in the fight for victories.

Group 992: Ramirez and Protasov fighting for the championship title

Group 992 is once again the one that will have the most drivers on the track, and is also the one where the fight for the title is most intense, with two main protagonists: the Spaniard Jorge Ramirez (RGC Racing Team) and the Ukrainian Yuri Protasov, leader of the Hadeca Racing.

Throughout the season, they have been involved in exciting duels for the lead in Group 992, and have also been regulars in the absolute Top 3 in the races already held, arriving in Jerez separated by just 13 points, with the Spaniard ahead.

Therefore, there are two more drivers on the track with all the conditions to fight for the Top 3 overall in both races this weekend.

But Ramirez and Protasov do not have exclusive ambitions to be among the best in the 992 group. Colombian Juan Veja (Hadeca Racing) and Portuguese André Fernandes (Veloso Motorsport) have already demonstrated the ability to compete with the two main candidates, and are still expect high-level performances from Oleksandr Dobik (Hadeca Racing) and Francisca Queiroz (Orbital Ignition Racing Team).
