VALENCIA CLOSES AN EXCITING FIRST HALF OF THE 2026 SEASON

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica reached the halfway point of its 2026 campaign at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia, delivering another outstanding weekend of competition before entering its summer break.

Round 3 once again demonstrated the championship’s unique combination of competitive racing, international visibility, premium hospitality and Porsche lifestyle, reinforcing the series’ position within the Porsche Motorsport ecosystem.

GT CORSE ACHIEVES A PERFECT WEEKEND

From a sporting perspective, Valencia belonged to GT Corse. The Spanish team completed a remarkable clean sweep by securing all four pole positions, all four race victories and all four fastest laps during the weekend. Borja García and Álvaro Bajo shared the victories, delivering one of the most dominant performances in recent Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica history. Despite GT Corse’s success, the four Sprint races produced intense battles throughout the field, confirming the remarkable competitive balance that has become one of the defining characteristics of the 2026 season. Patrick Cunha, Jorge Rodrigues and Miguel Lobo all delivered impressive performances, while Francisca “Kika” Queiroz further strengthened her position as one of the leading figures of the Ladies Cup after securing three victories from the four races contested in Valencia.

A VIBRANT PORSCHE ATMOSPHERE

Valencia also confirmed the growing appeal of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica beyond the racetrack. Between 300 and 400 guests attended the event throughout the weekend, representing numerous companies, brands and institutions. The paddock and the VIP Village Lounge once again became central meeting points for guests, partners, teams and drivers. Among the visitors was GT Club Marbella, which attended the event with a significant delegation as part of an official tour, reinforcing the strong relationship between the championship and the Porsche enthusiast community. The presence of numerous Porsche owners and fans created a unique atmosphere around the circuit, adding elegance, passion and authenticity to the Valencia event.

FIA GIRLS ON TRACK VISITS PSCI

The Valencia weekend also hosted an important initiative linked to the FIA Girls on Track programme. Participants visited the PSCI VIP Lounge as part of an FIA activity, further strengthening the championship’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in motorsport. PSCI British driver Chloe Grant, who serves as an ambassador for the programme, played an important role in the initiative. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to introduce young participants to the world of professional motorsport while promoting female participation in the sport.

COMPETITION CONTINUES AWAY FROM THE TRACK

The PSCI experience extends far beyond the racing itself. One of the most enjoyable moments of the weekend came when the drivers exchanged their Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars for bumper cars, revealing that their competitive spirit remains very much alive even away from the circuit. The activity generated plenty of laughter, entertainment and friendly rivalry, providing guests and teams with another memorable moment and reinforcing the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that characterises the championship.

INTERNATIONAL VISIBILITY CONTINUES TO GROW

Valencia also marked another important step in the international expansion of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica. Alongside existing broadcasting partnerships with Motorvision Germany and Parc Fermé Italy, the championship welcomed Braking Zone TV Brasil as a new international streaming partner. The addition of the Brazilian broadcaster allows PSCI to reach one of the world’s most passionate motorsport markets, significantly increasing the championship’s visibility and strengthening its international presence.

SUMMER BREAK BEFORE JEREZ

With three rounds completed, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica now enters its summer break. The championship will return from 11 to 13 September at Circuit Ángel Nieto in Jerez de la Frontera, where the second half of the season will begin and the battles for the various titles will intensify.
