The excitement heads to Jerez for the penultimate round of the season!

The 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica enters the final stretch of the season with the 5th round, scheduled for next weekend, November 1–2, at the iconic Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto, in Spain.

With 4,428 meters, 13 corners, and a main straight of 607 meters, Jerez is one of the most technical and balanced circuits on the Iberian Peninsula. The Andalusian track combines fast, flowing sections with heavy braking zones and linked corners that demand surgical precision and a perfectly balanced car. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cups will face a true test of performance and adaptability — for both drivers and engineers.

Weather conditions may play a decisive role: forecasts indicate cloudy skies on Saturday and showers on Sunday, with temperatures ranging between 14 and 24°C. A scenario that could shuffle tire and setup strategies, making the fight for the front positions even more unpredictable.

Category 2: Alves and Pereira separated by just two points!

The battle for the Category 2 title is heating up.
Manuel Alves (LOB Motorsport) arrives in Jerez as the leader with 200 points, just two ahead of Dylan Pereira (AF & V Motorsport). The Portuguese driver and the Luso-Luxembourgish racer have dominated the season, trading wins and podiums, and Jerez promises another direct showdown for the championship lead.

André Fernandes, also from AF & V Motorsport, sits third with 179 points and leads the AM Class after a season marked by consistency. Jorge Ramirez (RGB Racing Team) and José Barros (AF & V Motorsport) complete the top five, both with the pace to challenge for podiums.

GT Corse returns with the duos Borja Garcia / Alejandro Barambio and Sacha Barucq / Asier Gorostiza, both ready to replicate their strong performances from previous rounds. Monteiros Competições fields the car shared by Canadian Brieana Macdonald and Portuguese João Macedo e Silva — a mix of youth and experience.

LOB Motorsport will also feature Francisca Queiroz, who continues to shine overall and leads the Ladies Cup by a comfortable margin, while Skualo Competición, with Henk Van Zoest / Filipe Carvalho, promises to be a solid presence in the competitive 992 GT3 Cup field.

Category 1: Hernández aims to consolidate his lead

In Category 1, dedicated to the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup, Spanish driver Pablo Hernández (Fenix Racing) arrives in Jerez as the leader with 196 points, following a string of consistent results.

His main rival will be Nuno Inocêncio (Monteiros Competições), who has 174 points and is determined to close the gap while maintaining his lead in the GD Class.

Rui Miritta strengthens Monteiros Competições’ firepower. The Portuguese driver, a multiple race winner this year, is a natural podium contender in Jerez and is expected to animate the fight at the front.

Monteiros Competições presents a five-car lineup, featuring Alexandre Fonseca / Hélder Moura, Maria Sánchez Iglesias, and Chloe Grant, alongside Inocêncio and Miritta. The Portuguese team will once again be the most represented on the grid, with Spain’s Sánchez Iglesias standing out as the best female driver in the category.

Ladies Cup: Francisca Queiroz unstoppable

Young Portuguese driver Francisca Queiroz arrives in Jerez with 216 points, the result of an almost perfect season. The LOB Motorsport driver has dominated the Ladies Cup, while also standing out in the overall Category 2 classification, where she sits eighth and could climb higher.

Maria Sánchez Iglesias (Monteiros Competições) and Chloe Grant (Monteiros Competições) follow in second and third place, respectively, keeping the fight for the podium positions alive.

Team battle: everything still to play for

Among the teams, LOB Motorsport maintains the lead with 83 points, but AF & V Motorsport is close behind with 80. GT Corse, in third with 58 points, continues to show competitiveness and reliability, and could still spring a surprise in the final rounds.

José Monroy, Series Manager of the PSCI, commented:
“Jerez is a legendary circuit and a perfect stage for the decisive moments ahead. We arrive at the penultimate round with very close standings, grids full of talent, and race forecasts that promise excitement down to the final lap. Weather conditions may mix things up, but that will only make the show even more thrilling. We’re very proud of the competitive level the PSCI has reached this season, and Jerez will undoubtedly be another great weekend for all Porsche enthusiasts.”

16 cars, 7 teams, 22 drivers, 2 days of intense racing, and unpredictable weather — all the ingredients are in place for another memorable chapter of the 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica.
