New Porsche 992 Cup: More Power, Speed, and Accessibility

The 992 Cup succeeds the current 992 GT3 Cup and will debut in Porsche one-make series in 2026. Based on the 992.2 generation of the 911, it has been designed to deliver more performance, faster lap times, and greater ease of operation while keeping costs under control.
The naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine produces 520 hp (+10 hp over its predecessor) and retains 100-hour track maintenance intervals. The racing clutch and six-speed sequential gearbox have been optimised, now offering new features such as automatic restart after a stall and stroboscopic brake lights.

Aerodynamics have been updated with a redesigned rear wing, vented fenders, and an optimised flat underbody. Several panels — including the doors and engine cover — use recycled carbon fibre with bio-based resin. The braking system gains larger discs (380 mm) and a standard Bosch M5 ABS, while the new electronic power steering increases steering angle for better manoeuvrability.

Inside, a multifunction steering wheel, backlit buttons, and revised control layout enhance ergonomics. Electronics include tyre temperature monitoring via TPMS, high-precision GPS, and a “pre-kill” engine cut-off system for safer pit stops.

With this pioneering acquisition, P21 Motorsport strengthens its strategic ties with Porsche Motorsport and reinforces PSCI’s position as a leading platform for drivers and teams in the Iberian Peninsula.
