Heading to Navarra for Round 4!

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica enters the second half of the 2025 season, preparing for a thrilling new chapter at the Circuito de Navarra in Los Arcos. At 3.933 km, with 15 challenging corners and an 800-meter straight, the Spanish circuit promises a weekend of pure speed, strategy, and intense duels. After Portimão, Monteblanco, and Valencia, the 2021 Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica returns to action with 16 cars entered and a roster of 22 drivers—from six different nations—bringing together experience, youth, and significant debuts. Among the highlights are the Category 2 duels between Dylan Pereira and Manuel Alves, the fierce Category 1 battle with Nuno Inocêncio, Rui Miritta, and Pablo Hernández, and Francisca Queiroz’s continued dominance in the Ladies Cup.

Category 2: Pereira on the Rise, Alves and Garcia on the Prowl

In the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup class, the focus remains on the battle between Dylan Pereira (AF & V Motorsport) and Manuel Alves (LOB Motorsport). The Portuguese-Luxembourg driver arrives in Navarre in excellent form, after two consecutive international victories at Spa-Francorchamps and Zandvoort, reinforcing his status as the favorite. But Alves, with three Sprint victories under his belt, promises not to let things slide. GT Corse also features prominently with the duo of Borja Garcia and Alejandro Barambio, winners of the Endurance Championship in Valencia and always contenders for the top spots. The Spanish team will also field the second car, driven by Asier Telleria and Frenchman Sasha Barucq, the latter already a winner in the AM Class. RGB Racing Team boasts a reinforced roster with Daniel Garcia, Jorge Ramirez, and Italian Gian Maria Traverson, all with the potential to surprise. Skualo Competición, with Henk Van Zoest and Filipe Nascimento, also promises to put up a fight. Great interest will be shown in the debut of young Canadian Brieana Macdonald, now part of Monteiros Competições, who joins the grid for her first international experience behind the wheel of a Porsche.

Category 1: Miritta, Inocêncio, and Hernández continue the duel

The Porsche 991 GT3 Cup grid promises a spectacle with five cars on the track. Nuno Inocêncio (Monteiros Competições), winner of four races, is looking to regain the lead lost to Spaniard Pablo Hernández (Fenix Racing), who arrives in Navarra buoyed by consistency and strategic efficiency. Within Monteiros Competições, the speedy Rui Miritta seeks to maintain the winning momentum demonstrated in Valencia, while the women’s duo of Maria Sánchez Iglesias and Chloe Grant continues to build on their experience and results in a direct battle with Francisca Queiroz for the Ladies Cup. Another name to watch closely is Portuguese gentleman driver Filipe Carvalho, who makes his PSCI debut alongside Alexandre Fonseca, completing the strong Monteiros Competições team.

Laddies Cup: Queiroz in search of perfection

Portuguese driver Francisca Queiroz (LOB Motorsport) arrives in Navarra as the clear leader of the Ladies Cup, after a near-perfect start to the season, with seven wins out of a possible eight. The young driver, who has also shone in the overall standings, will once again face direct rivals Maria Sánchez Iglesias and Chloe Grant, both motivated to compete for podiums and important points, as well as rookie Brieana Macdonald. Expectations are high that the Canadian will be able to rival the leader. José Monroy, Series Manager for Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica, stated, “We are very excited to bring the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica to Navarra. It’s a modern, technical, and fast circuit that will certainly provide intense and exciting races. After an absolutely fantastic first half of the season, with very competitive grids and battles in all categories, we believe this round will raise the bar even higher. We will have 16 cars on the track, drivers of various nationalities, and even international debuts, which demonstrates the vitality and growth of the championship.”
