First “pole” for Mora in Navarra

Francisco Mora secured, this Saturday afternoon, pole position for the first race of the third round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica, at the Spanish circuit of Navarra, and at his side will be Manuel Alves, faster by 0.414 seconds, after a session very tight.

From the second row of the grid will start Pedro Salvador, who also managed to reach the “second 42”, and Vasco Barros. In a qualification in which, for personal reasons, the British Ian Barrett and Frank Barrett, in addition to André Fernandes, and also the Hispanic-Italian Cristina Giampaoli did not line up, this due to technical issues related to the car, it was repeated, as it had already happened in Motorland, the skirmish between Mora, Alves and Salvador for the conquest of the “pole”.

However, after setting the mark of 1.42.054, the Veloso Motorsport driver never needed to do a “forcing” again to keep the first position.

Also hotly contested was the discussion of primacy in the AM category, in which José Barros (5th absolute) beat Ricardo Costa by a margin of 0.341s, starting both from the third row of the grid and ahead of Spaniard Jorge Ramirez, while Aloísio Monteiro (8th ) won the best time in the GD category, standing out from the British Chris Hilabby and Rui Miritta.
