Porsche, performance and passion: Valencia welcomes PSCI Round 3

Following the spectacular action delivered at Monteblanco and Estoril, the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica now heads to Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia for what promises to be another decisive chapter in the battle for the 2026 titles.

The third round of the championship organized by P21 Motorsport will take place from June 12th to 14th and will once again feature an international grid of 14 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars, representing teams and drivers from several countries and further confirming the growing international profile of the series.

Borja García and José Barros arrive in Valencia as natural contenders

The opening two rounds of the season have highlighted a group of drivers clearly capable of fighting for victories under any circumstances. Borja García (GT Corse) naturally arrives among the main favourites. The Spanish driver has been one of the standout performers of the season and will compete in front of his home crowd at a circuit he knows exceptionally well. From the Portuguese side, José Barros (AF Motorsport) once again emerges as one of the strongest contenders for top honours. The pace demonstrated throughout the opening rounds suggests another weekend fighting for victories. But the opposition promises to be fierce.

GT Corse once again fields an extremely strong line-up, featuring, alongside Borja García, Alejandro Barambio Perea, Álvaro Bajo, Gildardo Herrera, Asier Gorostiza and Diego Carrascal Vega, further strengthening the Spanish team´s collective potential. LOB Motorsport also arrives in Valencia with strong credentials through Henrique Cruz and Duarte Camelo, while Veloso Motorsport relies on the pairing of Patrick Cunha and Jorge Rodrigues, both of whom impressed at Estoril. RGB Racing Team presents one of the largest representations on the grid through João Macedo Silva, Filipe Carvalho, Miguel Lobo and Mário Reyford Ferreira, while Kevin King (NACentE Racing), Rui Miritta (Monteiros Competições) and Pablo Hernández (Fenix Racing) complete a field where margins have traditionally been extremely close.

Ladies Cup set for another exciting chapter

The Ladies Cup continues to establish itself as one of the championship's most competitive storylines. Britain’s Chloe Grant and Finland’s Flame Airikkala, both supported by AF Motorsport, return to the grid but will once again face an increasingly competitive Francisca Queiroz, who remains determined to challenge for prominent positions in the overall classification.

Valencia delivers an intense schedule

The competitive programme begins on Saturday with the two qualifying sessions scheduled for 09:00 and 10:10 local time, followed by Races 1 and 2 at 12:55 and 15:25 respectively. Sunday will feature Races 3 and 4 at 14:15 and 15:15, completing an intense programme of four Sprint Races of 20 minutes plus one lap. All races will be broadcast live on V+ TVI, as well as through the official Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica digital platforms.

International distribution will once again be provided by Motorvision Germany, featuring German-language commentary, Parc Fermé Italy for the Italian market and, as a major new addition for this round, Braking Zone TV Brasil, a partnership that will allow the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica to reach the vast and passionate Brazilian motorsport audience, further reinforcing the championship’s international expansion. The event will also feature a public Pit Walk and premium hospitality activities, further strengthening the connection between drivers, teams, partners and fans.

According to José Monroy, Series Manager of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica: “We arrive in Valencia after two highly competitive rounds with several battles still completely open. We have an international grid of outstanding quality, very strong teams and drivers capable of winning any race. Ricardo Tormo is a circuit that traditionally produces highly competitive racing and we believe we will enjoy another excellent weekend of competition, always framed by the premium environment and unique experience that define the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica.”
