The Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica continues to reveal the drivers confirmed for the 2026 season, and one of the returning names on the grid will be Francisca Queiroz, widely known in the paddock as Kika Queiroz. The young Portuguese driver will once again compete with LOB Motorsport in the upcoming season.
The 19-year-old driver from Braga returns to the championship with the team that has accompanied her development within the Porsche racing environment, after securing the Ladies Cup title for two consecutive seasons. For 2026, Kika Queiroz will continue her progression within one of the most dynamic Porsche one-make racing platforms in Southern Europe.
A young driver on the rise
At just 19 years of age, Francisca Queiroz represents one of the most promising young Portuguese drivers currently emerging in Iberian motorsport. Her career began in karting, where she quickly made an impact by winning three consecutive Portuguese National Female Karting titles, competing in the CPK and Rotax championships. The transition to GT racing marked a new stage in her career, allowing her to adapt rapidly to more powerful and technically demanding cars.
This development became particularly evident in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica, where she has shown consistent progression since making her debut in 2024. Throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Kika Queiroz established herself as the leading female driver in the championship, winning the Ladies Cup in both years while also securing multiple class podium finishes. In 2024 she claimed the female classification driving the Porsche 991.2 in the AM class, while in 2025 she repeated the achievement with the Porsche 992, confirming her adaptability and competitive consistency.
Her continuation in 2026 represents another important step in the development of the young Portuguese driver, who approaches the new season with renewed ambition: “I’m very excited for the 2026 season — it represents an important step in my development and I want to fight consistently for the best possible results. The goal is clear: to be faster, more consistent and closer to the front. The agreement between Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica and Media Capital is also excellent news for all of us. Having the races broadcast live and greater media exposure will help increase the visibility of the championship, the drivers and our sponsors.”
For José Monroy, Series Manager of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica, the continuation of Kika Queiroz is also a positive sign for the championship: “Kika is an excellent example of the new generation of drivers growing within the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica. She is a talented and highly dedicated driver with enormous potential for development. After two very positive seasons and winning the Ladies Cup twice, we are very pleased to see her continue on the grid. Her presence also reinforces PSCI’s commitment to promoting female talent in motorsport.”
As she returns for her third consecutive season in the championship, Francisca “Kika” Queiroz continues to establish herself as one of the young protagonists of the new generation of Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica drivers, in an increasingly international and competitive grid.
